Articulation Card Deck organization

by adminS2U

I know it’s September, but I have ONE more organizational tip to share.  artic 2

I love the photo articulation decks from Super Duper.  You know what would make them better?  Color coded edges for the sound position in words.

I’m going to admit that I was skeptical of this organizational strategy when I first heard of it.  I’m not the best at right/left discrimination (any of my SLP peeps still make the L shape when asked?)  Plus it just seemed too confusing.  But now 2 years later, I LOVE it.  It is easy to quickly grab the cards that I want.

It’s pretty easy-just sort the card decks and then flip the medial cards so that the background shows.  When you open up the tin-it is easy to find the cards that you are looking for.

This works great if you have your individual supplies.  It’s more tricky to organize in group settings.  What about you?  How do you organize your articulation cards?  I’d love to hear about it below.  And if you thought this post was helpful, I’d really appreciate it if you would spread the word to your friends by sharing this post on Pinterest or Facebook.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who has trouble with left and right. I feel so bad when it is a target for my students. Thanks for sharing.
