TPT Organizer (Freebie)

by adminS2U

If you are like me, you might be a little bit of a an SLP hoarder.  Maybe you even got a cool award at work like I did.

I wrote a post last weekend about how I was getting organized.  In addition to hoarding commercially made speech and language materials-I also hoard products I’ve purchased on Teacher’s Pay Teachers and other sites.  My freebie this month is a directory you can use to quickly find your purchased products when you are completing your lesson plans.

This is an editable PowerPoint file.  You should be able to open it in any version of Power point.   You will need to take a screen shot of the product cover so that you have an image to add to the square.  Not sure how to take a screen shot?  Check out Take a Screen shot.org  I would feel comfortable with you taking a screen shot of the covers of my products for organizational purposes.  Please use common sense and keep copyright law in mind when taking screen shots.

Here is how I do it on my Mac. Once you have the template open, you just right click on an empty square.

It’s pretty easy. It looks a little bit different depending on your version of Power point and the version of software you have. Here is one tutorial for PC.

Check out the video that I made:

I love your organization idea and I would like to try it! When I downloaded your organizer it was not in power point format. How can I get it to be a power point?

This looks like an awesome product but I clicked on the link to get the product and it keeps opening up as a PDF rather than the powerpoint… Is there a way around that?

Good idea! I put mine in folders that are categorized, then when I print something out, I transfer it to a thumb drive.

You are so smart to put them in designated folders. I put them in one folder which made it difficult to figure out what I had.

Love it! This is the organization I have in my head, it’s just doing it right then and there that I lack…procrastination and hoarding are not good together!!

Love that you use pictures of the covers! I have written lists of my materials, but often the title isn’t enough to trigger my memory of what something actually is. The visual will definitely improve my memory of the item. Thanks for the idea!

I love this idea. I have a TON of folders within my TPT folder, but they could use some more organization. I screenshotted this on my iPad and am just now getting around to looking it up. Thanks so much.
